Buena Esperanza Bar:

Cool hangout shortly before Tierra Milagros on the road going to Matapalo. It is a meeting place for the neighbourhood. They serve an excellent Cappuccino with whipped milk. During the afternoon they serve Mango muffins and later on you can enjoy a fruity Sundowner while you play a game of Backgammon. If you like, you can reserve a table for dinner. The small daily menu always offers something for everyone's taste. Do not forget to take home a homemade bread with pumpkinseeds. This bar is also utilized for birthday parties and other occasions. That's when folks dance on the tables and the bar.

Places to see:

Cocovado National Park: Approximately one hour away, the national park covers the northern part of the peninsula. Via Escondito Tex in Jimenez one can request arrangements for hiking tours lasting several days.

Puerto Jimenez:

The town nearest to our location (approx. 9 miles) is Puerto Jimenez. It has about 800 inhabitants, a ferryboat-harbour, Airport, bus station, hospital, internet barrooms and shopping areas. If you don't have your own car, the use of a Taxi pickup is the traditional mode of transport. Taxis can be found throughout the town, they transport everybody and everything at reasonable prices.
